The Company is related to marine and port engineering as well as project economic evaluation. More than 30 years of experience in shipping of dry bulk, port project implementation, ship construction and related engineering. Asistance to mining companies, marine risk insurance companies and Boards of Directors. Representation of first class international companies in port equipment, dredging and energy sectors.
Promares Ingenieria y Representaciones Ltda (Promares Ingenieria) was founded in 2010 by Carlos Franzino, Civil Engineer with a major in Hydraulics and with more than 40 years of experience in international engineering and construction companies for large-size projects in different countries of Latin America and Canada. In his professional career he worked in multinational companies like Techint, Spie Batignolles, Interimco, Canada Steamship Lines and more recently Ultramar Group in Chile, before starting Promares in 2010. His experience in port engineering and construction starts in 1983 while based in Canada, then from Mexico and finally Chile, meanwhile participating in port projects in Colombia, Chile, Canada, Uruguay, Mexico, Panama and Dominican Republic among others. The activities of Promares Ingenieria, besides company representations, has included dock repairs, project management, port projects conceptual engineering, consulting to Board of Directors and economic feasibility consultant for a diverse type of projects.
